core 2 duo T6500 vs P7350

Postby davisjackson » Thu Jul 02, 2009 9:25 pm

I'm deciding between two different versions of the Sony Vaio NW laptop, and one of the differences in them is the processor.

One has an intel core 2 duo T6500 processor with 2.1 ghz, 2mb L2 cache, and 800 Mhz fbs. The other has an intel core 2 duo P7350 processor that operates at 2.0 ghz, has 3mb L2 cache, and has a bus speed of 1066 Mhz.

I don't do any gaming with my PCs. I will be watching blu-rays and streaming hd content, using the internet, listening to music, and doing other normal computing tasks.

What kind of performance gap exists between these two processors? Will it be very noticeable to me given what I'm using it for?

Thanks.

Hello

I'm looking at buying one of the new Sony Vaio NWs. The 2 models I'm looking at are $800 and $1000. The cheaper version has the T6500 processor (2.10 ghz, 2 mb l2 cache, 800 mhz) and the intel gma 4500 for its graphics.

It also has a 320 gb hd. The more expensive version has the P7350 processor (2.0 ghz, 3 mb l2 cache, 1066 mhz), the ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 graphics card with 512MB of VRAM, and a 400 gb hd.
